We won't pretend that there are never any unexpected problems, but we do believe that there are very few other companies with the experience to deal with them as we can.

We are delighted with the loft and it has transformed our living space. Juliette and I have moved into the loft room with the new bathroom as an almost en suite.
We could not be more pleased with it. Silvester managed things very well and got things done when they needed to be. There was only one piece of snagging which was sorted out straight away.
All the builders were very polite, professional and hard working - and I include the electricians (Guy and Bob), plumber (Arvis) and the painters.
I could give you several examples of 'beyond the call of duty' work but you get the gist. Please can you pass on our sincere thanks to all of them. Arvis did a great job of the plumbing and bathroom fitting.
He helped with a leak that turned out to be faulty work by British Gas but we paid for all additional work. At the age of 44 I finally have a perfect shower every morning and am eternally grateful to him for that ! We have showed some people round the conversion and recommended you happily. I hope that business is picking up post credit crunch?

The loft conversion went well. As you know we had a few problems as we experienced the worst weather conditions for 30 years just while we were having the work done. I was very impressed with the workers turning up on those days and working despite the snow, gale, etc. The quality of work was good.
In terms of the conversion we are extremely pleased with the end result, the final build was better than the plans originally suggested thanks to the tweaks made by the builders onsite to give us the maximum living space despite the small loft area to work with.
The build quality is superb as reflected by the bulding control when they came to inspect the work - they just glanced over the main areas as they could see the time and effort that had been put into the job and could not fault what had been done.
I must point out though that I've never had any dealings with builders so polite, conscientious and tidy in my life! I cannot praise the work enough and would recommend your company to anyone. Given the current financial climate it is difficult to put faith in a building outfit to produce the goods but I had no reservations going with your company right from the outset and I knew we would get, at the very least, the conversion we asked for done to a high quality.
The bathroom is just one example. It was in the older part of the building so damp plaster board had to be ripped out so that the room could be lined with plywood. After this some of the pipework had to be installed and then the plumbers had to leave temporarily for the tilers to do their work before coming back.
With some contractors there might have been a while to wait before the plumbers came back, but not in this case - Arvydas and the team were back the next day - and that's just one example of South London Lofts' efficiency.
And they all worked solidly from 8 to 6 with barely a pause even for lunch. Couldn't have been better.
We have been extremely pleased with this project, which has been carried out by cheerful, courteous Lithuanian teams and resulted in a first class job.
Most of the structural work was done, by a large building team (well managed by Mangas) working intensively. There was also clear evidence of good communication between teams, so that the plumbers, electricians and carpenters were called in promptly to do their preliminary work, and the roofers and plasters straight after.
Overall, the most outstanding team members were Mangas and Gedas, who worked extremely hard, always were prepared to help out with a bit extra when asked and were ever cheerful. Romas (plumber) also was very helpful.
We found Paul and Ramunas good to deal with. Ramunas's cheerfulness and ebullience managed to dispel concerns that he was not always the most diligent in answering emails or phone calls.
All the teams showed excellent craftsmanship and staff were courteous, tidy and considerate, and almost always checked with us if there were any choices or options to be decided. Almost all were polite, asked each time if they could come in, let us know if they had to leave or arrive late, and as far as possible tidied up after each day's work.
The work done was of a high standard, precisely to specification and generally on time.The finished job was extremely professional.
