Loft Conversion in Lambeth

Well-managed loft project with high-quality workmanship. Highly recommended.

Craig and the SLL team recently completed a mansard loft extension to our home in Brixton. We’re delighted with the final result and the project was completed on time and on budget. I’d recommend SLL without hesitation. Here’s what we liked:

– We had quotes from a lot of loft companies before doing the work and decided to go with SLL on the basis that they offered a competitive quote, but also because Craig was very knowledgable about the Lambeth planning process and knew exactly what we would and wouldn’t be allowed. He knew his stuff.
– SLL took care of the design drawings and planning application for us and discussed all the options along the way.
– When the work was due to begin we were assigned a project manager who walked us through the timetable of works and explained what we should expect. There were no surprises and we could keep track of the schedule to make sure things were on track.
– Mangis (our PM) was excellent, always available on the phone and sorted problems quickly.
– The builders from start to finish were polite, friendly and professional. They worked hard and they took care of the place, cleaning up after each day.
– The build came in on time and on budget, with all structural works done in around 7 weeks, and finishing touches were done after 9 weeks.
– We had a few issues getting building control to sign off on the project, but this was due to staff errors on their side, SLL were proactive in sorting this out for us.

All in all, SLL provided a great service and we’d use them again.

We had a loft conversion done By SSL (in 2014) and are very happy with the result. The team was very efficient, professional, polite and friendly, and the project was carried out as planned and came in within budget and it looks great. We are absolutely delighted with our kitchen extension. South London Lofts actually extended into the dead space that was the side return and knocked down a chimney breast to create a light modern very spacious kitchen. SLL did a fantastic job for us. Our project manager Virgis, kept everything on track and kept us fully consulted and informed all the way through. The whole team, brickies, electricians, plumbers, roofers worked extremely hard. The quality of workmanship is excellent. The kitchen is now the focal point of family life in our home. We had chosen SLL since they had done a wonderful job building our loft rooms in 2008. We made the right choice.
