Mansard/Dormer Combination

Here we have an L shape conversion with a difference!
For the the rear addition roof dormer extension we used the permitted development allowance of 40 cubic meters and backed this up with a Lawful development certificate (LDC), submitted to the council to validate this aspect of the project.
Then we followed on shortly afterwards, with a full planning applications for the rear mansard extension to the main loft space.
With these two application the customer ended up with more than the standard 40 cubic meters allowance via permitted development for this typical mid terrace house, in Wandsworth council. So at the rear and you’ll see from the drawings, the dormer is longer than normal and thus the bedroom is larger, enabling the shower room to be installed here, leaving the front main bedroom also with more space
Even though the project is larger it still looks in keeping and not over bearing, plus as with all our project well finished off externally as well as internally
