Velux Roof Window Conversions

Velux is the brand that has become synonymous with roof windows. As you can see from their website www.velux.co.uk, velux offer a huge range of different designs and finishes. Usually these windows are used on the front of properties to complement a mansard or dormer conversions at the rear. They sit with a low profile, and give the loft a feeling of space & adding plenty of natural l light to your new loft room. There is a vast range of blinds also available from Velux, so it's easy to finish the job off to your taste.

Velux conversion options

The Velux conversion is the simplest way to add some extra space and light to your loft space, although not that common these days as most people will opt for the larger rear dormer or mansard extension.

One advantage is that if you have a flat or maisonette planning permission is not required as with a velux roof window conversion there are no extensions to the rear which would require planning approval unless the property is isn a conservation area then planning permission would be required

This type of conversion also tend to work well if you have a large existing loft space as there is less need for a dormer extension as there is already a large existing loft space to work with
